Holbeach & Fleet Veterinary Clinic provide a microchipping service to which helps you reunite you with your pet should they ever get lost.  The microchip is no bigger than a piece of rice, implanted under your pet’s skin.  It causes minimal discomfort to the animal.   It also provides a way of identifying your pet should they ever become lost. Your pet will registered with the database provider and will include your details too.  If you ever report them lost,  and someone finds your pet, you can hopefully be reunited because your pet's microchip can be scanned by a professional such as a vet and then hopefully you will be contacted.

Please be aware, by law in England, cats and dog owners are required to microchip these pets.  This has been mandatory for dogs over 8 weeks old since April 2016 and mandatory for cats over 20 weeks old (including indoor cats) since June 2024. 

If you haven’t done this, please get them microchipped as soon as possible as you risk fines by the authorities.
